Backroad Stringband is a group from Northwestern Alberta. We love to play music together and enjoy playing many different genres of music, as well as some original tunes of our own. We play at various functions around the Peace River Country; local festivals, fundraisers, music nights, open mic, churches, and in 2012 we played the stage at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival.

Backroad Stringband Hit and Run Concert Series

Wedgewood Park, Grande Prairie

Come join the Backroad Stringband for another one of our Hit and Run Bluegrass Parks Concert Series on Sunday August 16th at 4:00 PM at the park encompassed by the Wedgewood community. We will be performing just south of the Gazebo on the north side of the park. There is virtually no visitor parking at this locatioin however there is curb parking on the south side of the park just west of 94th st. Please remember to help us to continue with this idea by practicing 2 m social distancing to enjoy our concert.

Hit and Run Bluegrass Parks Concert Series

Come out and enjoy a walk in the sun and some live local music. And please help us to continue this idea successfully by practicing social distancing as you listen.

Kakut Lake, located 11 km down secondary highway 677, also known as the Peoria road, on highway 2 between Grande Prairie and Rycroft, Alberta.

A fun filled week-end like no other! Enjoy bands on stage all day Saturday. In concert Friday night - 7:00pm: Backroad Stringband. Sunset walk, silent auction, band scramble, pancake breakfast, Sunday Gospel Hour, and jamming all week-end.
